Laugh Every Day

My inspiration for this page really was the photo itself. A year and a half ago, we were expecting our second child and had to terminate at twenty-three weeks after finding out that the pregnancy was not viable. In the aftermath of that loss and finding out that because of further complications, we probably wouldn't be able to have another baby, I found that I often looked at this photo as a reminder of the happy person I once was and needed to be again for my husband and our son.

I created this scrapbook page to fit into a suspension frame for my craft studio so that I would always have that reminder to stay true to that younger, lighthearted version of myself. I am happy to say that we are now expecting again and that I find myself looking more and more like the girl in that picture every day.

The journaling on the page reads "Every time I look at this photo, it reminds me of the fun-loving, goofy side of me that sometimes gets lost in the stresses of everyday life. I'm so grateful that Joe captured this silly moment - it is a constant reminder that no matter what life throws at us, I need to find a reason to laugh every day."
